Every effort will be made to demat your dog however if this is severe, for the welfare of your dog, the coat will need to be shaved off. These costs may be higher if the coat is excessively matted.
Bark & Bath reserve the right to stop the groom and request the dog comes for a return visit, at an additional charge to the owner, if we need more time to groom your dog. Please note matted coats can be extremely painful for a dog and we need to put their safety and welfare first.
At Bark & Bath we will do everything in our power to help any anxious or nervous dogs become more comfortable and confident while being groomed. However, dealing with dogs that are a little more anxious than normal require extra time, care and handling. In order to do this Bark & Bath have perfected a more comfortable grooming environment for your dog; we dedicate one day a week to grooming anxious dogs (please refer to our ANXIOUS DOGS page for more information). Each dog is individual and therefore the cost of your groom will be priced on individual cases.
Bark & Bath reserves the right to refuse to groom any dog for the health and safety of the groomer and/or dog. A muzzle may be used. Services may be discontinued if Bark & Bath determines that a dog presents an unsafe condition. Such conditions include but are not limited to; behaviour issues and health problems. You must agree to inform Bark & Bath prior to grooming if the dog has ever bitten any human, another dog or has any aggressive tendencies whatsoever. You will be held solely liable for any harm, injury or property damage caused by your dog.
It is your duty as a dog owner to make sure your dog is free of parasites before entering the salon, therefore you must be sure to use the appropriate flea and tick prevention on your dog. If your dog is found to be carrying fleas the additional cost covers the use of a specialised flea shampoo and the extra time needed to clean the salon.
Further surcharges may occur if the parasite issue is severe, resulting in us having to close the salon for the day to use fumigation products.
If an additional staff member is required to assist in grooming your dog an additional charge will apply.
